It's funny, really. Funny how one minute you're propped up in your office, seated in a cozy desk chair, and the next you're staring at your reflection, via the shot glass held limply between your fingertips, seated on the most uncomfortable stool ever, but you're too numb to notice.

Haruno Sakura was never one to admit defeat. Never. But tonight had been different, she actually wanted to get wasted, to wake up to that excruciating pang right behind her eyes when she woke up in the morning, to see what he saw to be so enjoyable about it.

Maybe it was sheer curiosity, or maybe she was just plain stupid. Whatever the reason may have been, she kept it to herself as she sluggishly drew the glass up to her lips and swallowed its contents in one fluid gulp.

Her pale mint stare lingered on the empty glass almost disappointedly before she traces its rim with the tip of a finger while her thoughts drifted to the task the morning would bring: Clocking in at 6:00 AM, with a hangover.

Wonderful.
